Cascada Alpaca Throw
A contrasting mix of soft blues and cool neutrals, this alpaca throw is downright handsome. Thanks to its unique construction that features a different weaving technique in every stripe, this throw is incredibly soft and oh-so-cozy.
Hand-loomed by master weavers in a quiet mountain village in the Peruvian Andes, each throw takes about a week to complete. Made exclusively in a fair trade environment.
Note: Alpaca wool is hypoallergenic, so this throw is ideal for those with allergies or sensitive skin.

Made with higher standards. We preserve artisan craft by paying wages that average 2x the fair trade requirement.
Never wash your alpaca throws or pillow covers - the spinning motion of a washing machine will destroy the delicate fibers. Absorb any liquid spills with paper towels or a clean cloth. Dry cleaning is the best option for removing stains or occasional cleaning.

I bought one as a gift (for a birthday) and another for myself. We both liked it so much, I bought another one for a housewarming gift, a few months later.

This throw is beautiful, lovely soft, not scratchy wool, but quite thin. It’s more stylish than warm.
Thank you for your note Laura! As you noted, this is one of our more lightweight alpaca throws. Fun fact: The beauty of alpaca fibers is that they are hollow, which allows the fiber to insulate heat – so while lightweight, they are surprisingly warm. We know that nothing quite compares to the feel of a chunky blanket though, so even though warm, it may not be the ""cocoon"" effect you're going for. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback! If you need anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Sincerely, The Citizenry Team
