Citizen’s and the Southwest- Traditional or Contemporary
We were replacing my grandma’s wicker basket that we had used for collecting each day’s newspapers for many years. It was a sentimental decision as my grandmother had brought it to Arizona with her when she moved there before Arizona became a state. Saying goodbye to the basket was hard. Its replacement needed to meet a high standard for blending into a Southwestern decor in a Massachusetts Saltbox. And it had to hold newspapers. It did. It does. Perfect fit and it makes me smile.
I love that the Mercado baskets are good for the people who make them, and good environmentally but they are also superior in quality!
I love the texture of the basket itself, it feels strong and as if it will last a long time.
