Artha Wool Striped Area Rug
A thick, high-pile area rug that can tie a room together and also make a big statement on its own, this one is an effortless showpiece. With an intricately woven stripe design that’s done entirely by hand, no two are alike – adding to the uniqueness of the design.
Each rug is handwoven using the finest sheep’s wool. All made start-to-finish in a fair trade workshop in Bhadohi, India.

Our rugs are handcrafted to last a lifetime, made using the highest quality natural fibers – no synthetic materials like viscose, rayon, or polyester are used.
Basic care:
Because each rug is handcrafted with only natural materials and hand-trimmed to the desired pile height, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.
Vacuum lightly at least once a week using only low suction and no beater brush, as this may damage the rug. More frequent vacuuming will help prevent shedding.
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Rotate your rug every 3-6 months. This will help prevent excessive wear and fading in one area.
The use of a rug pad will keep your rug lying smooth and flat and will help prevent slippage.
Treating stains:
Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth - act quickly to prevent drying. Avoid harsh chemicals and household cleaners as they may damage or fade the rug. When in doubt, professional cleaning is always best.

I love the texture and quality of this rug. I saw the color as more varied and unique than it is. It is elegant but also safe and neutral. It is beige with black stripes that come through irregularly.

The Artha striped area rug is hands down the best neutral rug I’ve tried. We have the 9x12 which is perfect for adding an 8x10 or 6x9 on top. Extremely comfortable underfoot and over all very well made. You can tell by the texture and weight that the quality is there. The color, I would say, is a warmer cream/beige. If you’re thinking about getting it, this is your sign to not question yourself anymore about it, and go for it. Hands down one of the best rugs out there!
