The laid-back, effortless look of jute with a sophisticated edge, this handcrafted jute rug is an instant classic. Featuring a minimal grid pattern of contrasting braid heights, it adds just the right amount of visual interest to any space. As beautiful as it is durable, this piece makes a great addition to high-traffic hallways or kitchens.
Each rug is handwoven by 14 master artisans in Bhadohi, India. From start-to-finish, it takes five days to complete, all made in a fair trade environment.

Our rugs are handcrafted to last a lifetime, made using the highest quality natural fibers – no synthetic materials like viscose, rayon, or polyester are used.
Basic care:
Because each rug is handcrafted with only natural materials, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.
Vacuum lightly at least once weekly using only low suction and no beater brush, as this may damage the rug. More frequent vacuuming will help prevent shedding.
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Rotate your rug every 3-6 months. This will help prevent excessive wear and fading in one area.
The use of a rug pad will keep your rug lying smooth and flat and will help prevent slippage.
Treating stains:
For jute rugs, do not use liquids for stain treatment – liquids will damage and discolor the natural fibers. Instead, use a dry rug shampoo or baking soda. Sprinkle the dry shampoo on the rug and allow it to sit for a couple of hours. Vacuum up the dry shampoo and flip the rug over to repeat on the other side. When in doubt, professional cleaning is always best.

United StatesNice rug but photo misleading
We had to buy the smallest, 2” size for our space but there are not photos on the website of this size (which wasn’t clear until the small rug arrived) That is pretty misleading as all of the photos of the larger sizes show different numbers of the raised accent stripes than our rug. Head up that the smallest size only has 2 raised stripes, not three like in the online images.
