Woven in Japan by
Say hello to the most lightweight, absorbent, and soft towels we’ve ever laid eyes on (or hands, or feet, or… you get the idea). For extra durability and absorbency, the waffle weave is intentionally bigger than standard waffle-weave towels. The best part? What starts off as a pristine weave only becomes softer and more relaxed with each wash.
Available in white, grey, and indigo, you’ll want these towels in every corner of your home.
- 1 face towel / washcloth
- 1 hand towel
- 1 bath towel
Each towel is made with long-staple Pima cotton and loomed in the oldest, family-run mill in Imabari that has spent 100 years perfecting the art of towel making. From weaving to dyeing and washing, each step is done in a fair-trade environment.
Face Towel / Washcloth: 14”L x 14”W
Hand Towel: 33”L x 14”W
Bath Towel: 57”L x 31”W
- MATERIALS: 100% Pima cotton (from the US)
- COLOR: Available in white, grey, and indigo
- ORIGIN: Japan
These cotton towels can be machine washed on cold with like colors. Tumble dry on low. Do not bleach.
After washing, the waffle weave will deepen and shrink a bit, developing a more organic character over time. We recommend hanging on a rack instead of hooks – the hooks will stretch out the weave over time.

Absorbent and wonderful
I ordered the light gray waffle towel as I have been in search of something absorbent that dries quickly and completely. I washed it immediately upon receipt before hanging it in the bathroom for use. It is not a plush towel experience, but it is soft enough. I am very happy with it. Great purchase.
love these towels
I purchased the Imabari Waffle Towels in indigo and so far I'm very pleased with them. The texture and dimension of the weave is really interesting and the color is gorgeous. They are the perfect blend of utility and craft.
No loose threads or seams to come apart, this towel should last for years to come. I washed it in cold water on gentle cycle, and the color did not fade. It also held its shape (did not shrink) coming out of the dryer, using warm heat, not hot. I really admire the workmanship and waffle design of this bath towel. Very happy with my purchase.
