When we visited this family-run mill in Maia, Portugal, we met a team who takes detail-oriented to a whole new level. Over the last 35 years, the group has focused on every little trim, finish, and process to make their textiles absolutely perfect.

Not to mention, they are pioneering new standards for sustainability in Portugal, achieving the new Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification for cotton. This means that every step in the process - from harvesting the raw materials to chemicals used in washing and dyeing - meets the highest level of environmental and social standards in the world.

When we toured their impeccably organized mill, we discussed how cotton is (ironically) considered “a very dirty industry.” We’re proud to be working with this family to clean it up – our collection of stonewashed cotton bedding is as ethical and clean as it gets.
