Bandera Flatweave Area Rug
Featuring an of-the-moment palette of moody, saturated hues, this area rug can’t help but turn heads. Handwoven with locally sourced sheep’s wool, master weavers use plants, berries, and bugs (yes, bugs!) to create these brilliant shades.
Each one takes almost three weeks to complete. All made start-to-finish by a fair trade cooperative in Oaxaca.
We recommend using with a rug pad to avoid slippage.

All our rugs are made from the finest natural materials. We choose pure sheep or llama wools, dye them carefully, and weave them for strength. Following these suggestions will ensure your rugs can be treasured for a lifetime.
Basic care:
Vacuum rugs lightly and avoid direct and prolonged sunlight exposure.
Treating stains:
If the stain was caused by liquid, act quickly to prevent from drying – use paper towels to absorb.
When in doubt, professional dry cleaning is always going to be your best bet.

United StatesLove the rug but shipped incorrectly, creases won’t relax
We have our 6x9 area rug in the dining room. It’s a beautiful rug, well made, and so annoying and unfortunate that it arrived folded instead of rolled. At this price point i expect better. It’s been out for weeks now and the creases are not budging. It shouldn’t take effort to relax a brand new expensive rug.

I love the general look of this rug. Sadly the corners curl up and there is a huge ridge that Kees forming in the center because the weaving is not quite even. I am trying to figure out how to get it to lay flat. I put some of those corner things on it but they are not completely working. I will try another kind. I’m really not sure how to get the ridge to go go flat and stay that way. I want to love it but I’m a little sad about how it’s turning out functionally. For the price it’s pretty frustrating.

Each piece is carefully dyed and woven for strength and durability. These should relax over time or if you place some heavy items on the areas that are creased. If you want to speed up the process, you can use a low-heat iron to help encourage them to relax. You'll want to place a towel between the rugs and the iron, and be sure to use low-medium heat to help! Rug's feel and size is good. The color is a little darker than I thought it would be. I expected it to be more rust color but it is more brown. Workmanship is very good.

In-stock items are expected to be delivered within 4-6 weeks from your order. Delivery timelines for custom furniture may vary. Your dedicated two-person team will deliver this product to your door, unpack your item in the room of your choice, and remove all packaging materials upon your approval.
