With its warm earth tones and abstract design, this flatweave rug infuses a hint of artistry to any space. Made using soft, yet durable cotton, this stunner is incredibly versatile, ready to bring a pop of color and pattern where it goes.
Handwoven horizontally on the ground to achieve maximum precision, each rug is made from 100% cotton that’s dyed and spun in-house. From prepping the yarn to weaving, washing, and finishing, each rug is made in a fair trade working environment in Jaipur, India.
We recommend using a rug pad to prevent wrinkles and slippage.

Our rugs are handcrafted to last a lifetime, made using the highest quality natural fibers – no synthetic materials like viscose, rayon, or polyester are used.
Basic care:
Because each rug is handcrafted with only natural materials, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.
Vacuum lightly at least once a week using only low suction and no beater brush, as this may damage the rug. More frequent vacuuming will help prevent shedding.
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Rotate your rug every 3-6 months. This will help prevent excessive wear and fading in one area.
The use of a rug pad will keep your rug lying smooth and flat and will help prevent slippage.
Treating stains:
Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth - act quickly to prevent drying. Avoid harsh chemicals and household cleaners as they may damage or fade the rug. When in doubt, professional cleaning is always best.

United StatesA little different than I expected
I liked this rug but the colors (although true to the screen) and overwhelm of the scale of its geometry turned out not to be right for the room. It also had a stiffer canvas-like quality than I expected.

I so wanted to love this rug!! I knew it would be thin but did not expect quite that level of roughness. It really felt like a tarp on the floor, not even a little cozy. It’s too bad because the design and colors are just beautiful and otherwise it would have been perfect. I was told it could be returned when I ordered it, but when I went to return it I received a message saying it was not returnable. Ultimately they did let me return it but overall it was a disappointing experience.

The rug has some sort of coating on it so that it feels (and looks) more like a dropcloth than a rug. It arrived folded, not rolled, and the texture means that even after weeks of leaving it open it remains creased and won’t lie flat. Overall, the texture and creases are not as depicted. We’ve loved the other rugs and baskets so this was an outlier.

This was my first Citizenry purchase and was very excited about it but the quality was not as expected. It being 100% cotton, I was hoping that it would be a bit more low maintenance but it started pilling very quickly.

I wish I would’ve listened to the reviews about the creases. The rug was rolled when delivered but clearly was kept folded for a significant amount of time in storage. I’ve tried so many things to get the creases out and haven’t had any luck. Initially when I ordered it I thought I might get lucky and get one without creases… don’t make the same mistake as me. I sooo badly wish I could love it. I love the colors and pattern but it is not worth the price tag for how bad it looks with the creases. My partner doesn’t want to go through the trouble of returning so we’re keeping it but I wish I would’ve trusted the bad reviews. :(

Exactly as pictured. Got this rug in a smaller size to put under my desk but I feel like this rug is too good for the floor. I plan to hang it on display, so now I'm looking for a new rug :)
