Woven in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, this Zanafi rug is handcrafted by master weavers working to preserve the ancient art and heritage of nomadic tribes in that region. Featuring the signature flat-weave, diamond pattern, and woven stripes, not only does this rug teem with craftsmanship and history — it brings an element of uncommon beauty to any space, too.
This authentic Zanafi rug has been handcrafted exclusively for The Citizenry. Each rug takes four weavers two to three weeks to complete, all made start-to-finish in a fair trade environment.

Our rugs are handcrafted to last a lifetime, made using the highest quality natural fibers – no synthetic materials like viscose, rayon, or polyester are used.
Basic care:
Because each rug is handcrafted with only natural materials, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.
Vacuum lightly at least once a week using only low suction and no beater brush, as this may damage the rug. More frequent vacuuming will help prevent shedding.
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Rotate your rug every 3-6 months. This will help prevent excessive wear and fading in one area.
The use of a rug pad will keep your rug lying smooth and flat and will help prevent slippage.
Treating stains:
Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth - act quickly to prevent drying. Avoid harsh chemicals and household cleaners as they may damage or fade the rug. When in doubt, professional cleaning is always best.

I love this rug in our bedroom—it feels cozy in the morning and looks romantic at night. Also happy to support the expert artisans that made it. I was tempted so get something that would deliver quickly, but am so glad I waited until this was restocked. I appreciated the email notice and was able to purchase right away.

What a scam. No where does it say you cannot return this, rather when you read the policy it states some pieces require a fee to return. This is not a rug, it should be advertised as a blanket. A 1200.00 blanket that I cannot afford, have no use for, and am unable to return even the Citizenry never tells you you cannot return it.
