The treasured Japanese art of indigo dyeing is so visually stunning, you have to see it in person to experience that signature blue for yourself. And what better way than on this one-and-done, room-maker of a lumbar pillow? The deep hue is rich, but also neutral. The block pattern is eye-catching, but subtle. Perfect for a bedroom or a sofa, this stunner of a lumbar adds instant artisanal style to any room.
Hand-dyed with all-natural indigo plants using the Ita Jima (with plates) style by Chiharu, a master dyer in Oki City, each pillow is dip-dyed over four times to achieve this saturated shade of indigo. From start-to-finish, it takes a day to complete. All made in a fair trade environment.
Note: Since this is a handcrafted item, each pillow is one-of-a-kind – expect variation in hues and patterns.

Never wash your pillow cover in a washing machine - this will cause the natural dyes to bleed and ruin the rich color of the fabric. Absorb any liquid spills with paper towels or a clean cloth. Dry cleaning is the best option for removing stains or occasional cleaning.
