Handwoven in India by
A classic dhurrie-style rug prewashed for that perfectly broken-in, had-it-forever look. Meticulously handwoven from lightweight (not to mention, soft) cotton and hand-dyed in rich, mustard hue, this accent rug brings a warm, inviting feel to any bedroom or entryway.
Handwoven and hand-dyed by a group of 15 master artisans in Banskho, India, each rug takes 5 days to complete. All made start-to-finish in a fair trade environment.
We recommend using a rug pad to reduce wrinkles and slippage.
Note: To make the 2’x3’ or 3’x5’ rug a wall hanging, add our custom maple wood wall hanger.

Vacuum rugs lightly and avoid direct and prolonged sunlight exposure.
Small cotton rugs may be washed gently and hung to dry.
If the stain was caused by liquid, act quickly to prevent from drying – use paper towels to absorb.
When in doubt, professional dry cleaning is always going to be your best bet. If you do decide to take matters into your own hands, a few tips for you:
- For wine, coffee, or tea, apply a solution of warm water, detergent and white vinegar with a damp sponge. Wipe with clean cloth and let dry.
- For oil, chocolate, lipstick, nail polish, or ink, scrub or scrape the stained area first. Then apply a solution of hot water and detergent with a clean cloth to absorb as much of the stain as possible. If required, leave the wet cloth overnight before wiping with a clean cloth to dry.

color was way too orange/quality was mediocre
Your curation and photography is great but upon receiving this rug an rug pad, I felt the real thing didn’t live up to the “quality” shown online. A cotton durrie this thin should not be so expensive and the rug pad was about the most pathetic one I’ve ever bought. I’ll stick to wayfair for that kind of thing.
Hi Jenny, Thanks for your note. The Ravi Rug is hand-dyed using turmeric (no artificial dyes here!), so some slight color variation can occur between batches. For most of products, we price them so that one-third goes to our artisan partners, one-third to The Citizenry, and one-third to packaging/shipping.
