The most beautiful throw I have ever seen!
This throw is absolutely beautiful! It definitely is the center piece of the bedroom. The touch of it is super soft and the design is intricate and aesthetically-pleasing. It’s double-sided woven, which gives a nice, visual contrast. The weight is perfect, thicker than some of the other Citizenry throws, and it seems durable with the only drawback being that for some people, it can be noticably itchy on your skin if worn.
This blanket is indeed soft and lovely, but the weave is so loose that threads are constantly pulling out. If it snags on anything at all--a fingernail, a button, a cat claw--the weave warps. I wanted this blanket to be more functional than it is for almost $300.
Hi Emily, Thanks so much for reaching out about your experience with the Tesoro Alpaca Throw. This blanket is handcrafted by our artisan partners in Peru using 100% baby alpaca fiber, which may snag on sharp objects (much like a sweater). One trick I'd recommend is gently pulling the weave taut in the opposite direction of the snag to add tension back into the pulled fibers. If that doesn't resolve the issue, or if you'd prefer to exchange your throw, we're more than happy to help. Just reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we'll make things right. Best, - The Citizenry Team
So close to great
Beautiful blanket...hearty, aesthetic. Sadly coming apart in a few places within a few weeks of receiving it. Not sure what else to say...it’s beautiful, and I’d like other stuff from these guys. Hoping my next experience is different, since these ain’t cheap.
Hi Ryan, Thanks so much for your feedback about the Tesoro Alpaca Throw. We're so sorry to hear that your throw isn't performing as expected. This piece is handcrafted in Peru from 100% baby alpaca, so it may snag on sharp objects (as a sweater might). To get your throw looking like new again, I'd recommend gently pulling the weave taut in the opposite direction of the snag to add tension back into the pulled fibers. If that doesn't resolve the issue, or if you'd prefer to exchange your Tesoro Throw, we're happy to help. Drop us a note at email@example.com, and we'll make things right. Best, - The Citizenry Team
Gorgeous - but doesn't last!
This throw is soft and beautifully made. However, I've had it for less than a month and I can say that I am extremely disappointed with the quality. After using it 5-10 times w/normal wear, it has numerous pulls and the pattern is starting to come apart. For the price, I am very disappointed. Not the lasting investment quality piece I expected.
Hi Dana, Thanks so much for taking the time to review the Tesoro Alpaca Throw. This beauty is handcrafted from 100% alpaca, woven using a technique that creates a unique & durable pattern. We're so sorry to hear that your throw isn't performing as expected. Over time, the throw snag on sharp objects, as a woven sweater would. To eliminate any minor pulls, you can try gently pulling the weave taut in the opposite direction of the snag to add tension back into the pulled fibers. If that doesn't resolve the issue, or if you'd prefer to exchange your throw, please send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we'll make things right. Best, - The Citizenry Team
