Let’s start with Pauline and Oscar, the two creative forces behind the workshop. Originally from France, Pauline was studying abroad in Mexico City when she met Oscar at a party where they ended up talking for hours. A few months later, and she’s making plans to move to Mexico permanently. Needless to say, it was love at first sight. And it was for us, too.
When we first walked into their design studio, we fell in love with their incredible designs. Each time we meet with them, we are still taken aback by the amount of creativity that is housed between these two. One flip through their sketchbooks, and you’ll understand just how talented they are – page after page of architectural details, graphic patterns, structural layouts, and even a few off-the-wall doodles.
The design duo now works from their studio in the Coyoacán neighborhood of Mexico City, right down the street from the house of famed artist Frida Kahlo. The personality of this area is seen throughout their pieces – the perfect marriage of classic Mexican design and modern style sensibility.
