Dayita Handwoven Area Rug
An original twist on the classic grid and checkered patterns, this flatweave creates a modern all-over design with a series of alternating stripes and small checks. Available in olive or slate blue, this eye-catching area rug knows how to make a statement. Pair with more subtle or linear designs like the Claro pillow or the La Leña throw.
This rug is woven by master artisans in Panipat, India. From start-to-finish, each one takes up to five weeks to complete, all made in a fair trade environment.
We recommend using a RUG PAD to prevent wrinkles and slippage.

Our rugs are handcrafted to last a lifetime, made using the highest quality natural fibers – no synthetic materials like viscose, rayon, or polyester are used.
Basic care:
Because each rug is handcrafted with only natural materials, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.
Vacuum lightly at least once a week using only low suction and no beater brush, as this may damage the rug. More frequent vacuuming will help prevent shedding.
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Rotate your rug every 3-6 months. This will help prevent excessive wear and fading in one area.
The use of a rug pad will keep your rug lying smooth and flat and will help prevent slippage.
Treating stains:
Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth - act quickly to prevent drying. Avoid harsh chemicals and household cleaners as they may damage or fade the rug. When in doubt, professional cleaning is always best.

Have to be honest. I was surprised and disappointed when I unwrapped this rug. It was very stiff and scratchy. It came folded and was extremely crumpled to the point where I wasn’t sure if it would actually lay flat. I had to return it. Sorry. I have the Tejal rug and it’s beautiful, soft, and no crumples or folds. Why so different though? I expected the same quality.
