Ladhi Hand-Knotted Area Rug
Consider this an invitation to get cozy. The allover texture of this plush area rug is woven from thick New Zealand wool for a touchable pile that feels incredibly soft underfoot. Crafted with an effortlessly cool diamond and checker pattern at its center, each piece is a perfect addition to any modern space.
Each rug is hand-knotted using the finest sheep's wool. All made start-to-finish in a fair trade workshop in Bhadohi, India.
We recommend using a RUG PAD to prevent wrinkles and slippage.

We searched for the « right » rug for a long time and were thrilled when the Citizenry added the Ladhi Rug. I call it the Goldilocks rug because it is just right. The pile is cozy and soft without being shaggy, and the colors both brighten and warm our space. We receive many compliments, and it makes us want to hang out in our living room all the time. I was initially concerned about the rug showing dirt and shedding, but it’s held up well in the higher traffic living room for our first few weeks, albeit normal amounts of shedding for a wool rug when we vacuum. No kids or pets in our lives yet, so can’t speak to its durability under more stress :) We couldn’t be happier!

This rug is of very high quality. The wool has a plush, soft feel underfoot and has a rich, thick pile. Not at all scratchy feeling. The color of the pattern was a bit more muted / cool beige looking IRL than in the photos; we were expecting a warmer/spicier tone. We ended up returning because we weren't in love with the beige color of the pattern, we were concerned about how light the rug was and how difficult it would be to keep clean, and because overall it didn't add the anchoring effect to our living room that we were hoping for (we believe a darker rug will achieve that better). Also note that because the rug has such a plush, thick pile, it attracts hair and other little debris easily, which are easy to see because the colors are so light.
