Mahika Hand-Knotted Area Rug
This is the rug you’ve been waiting for. A warm blend of oat and ecru, this hand-knotted area rug elevates any room with a bold, classic pattern that’s sure to make an impression. Crafted with a thick, luxe texture, each rug makes for a perfect neutral (and extra cozy!) addition to your space.
Each rug is hand-knotted by 14 master weavers in Bhadohi, India. From start-to-finish, each rug takes 5 full days to complete. All made in a fair trade environment.
We recommend using a RUG PAD to prevent wrinkles and slippage. Because each rug is hand-knotted with only natural materials, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.

NOTE: This rug is a high-pile rug, with a 3/4" pile height. Be sure to measure for door clearance. Returns of rugs not delivered via white-glove will incur a $65 refund fee, due to the size of the item. Returns for store credit are always free, except for rugs delivered via white glove which will have a restocking fee of 15% applied.

Our rugs are handcrafted to last a lifetime, made using the highest quality natural fibers – no synthetic materials like viscose, rayon, or polyester are used.
Basic care:
Because each rug is handcrafted with only natural materials and hand-trimmed to the desired pile height, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.
Vacuum lightly at least once a week using only low suction and no beater brush, as this may damage the rug. More frequent vacuuming will help prevent shedding.
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Rotate your rug every 3-6 months. This will help prevent excessive wear and fading in one area.
The use of a rug pad will keep your rug lying smooth and flat and will help prevent slippage.
Treating stains:
Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth - act quickly to prevent drying. Avoid harsh chemicals and household cleaners as they may damage or fade the rug. When in doubt, professional cleaning is always best.

Originally bought the Salina but found the color was not as white as it appeared on screen. Fortunately the Citizenry was great about accepting a return and sending out a different rug. The Mahika is quite thick (door barely clears it) and cushy. Looks great!
