Each lumbar is made by a group of talented women in Nagaland, India, who’ve perfected the art of backstrap weaving over centuries. Handwoven from incredibly soft cotton, this pillow takes almost a full day to complete. All made start-to-finish in a fair trade environment.

I’ve bought several pillows from the Citizenry at this point and the construction is unparalleled. The pillows are all soft and even generously stuffed. The texturing of the fabric is gorgeous without being scratchy and the stitching is beautifully executed. These are most definitely heirloom quality!

This lumbar pillow is very high quality in every way. The stitching is professional, the design is textural and the colors are vibrant. The insert is full and dense and will hold its shape. The only reason I could not give it five stars is because in person the color is more pinkish than rust/orange and so it did not work with my decor. I was sorry to have to return it and that was very easily accomplished. Great customer service. I will continue to shop The Citizenry.
