From its architectural, blocked pattern to its neutral palette with pops of color, this flatweave area rug is a modern home must-have. The flatweave design is so intricate, with subtle color variations throughout, it's hard to believe the entire rug was crafted by hand. It’s durable, versatile, and neutral enough to add just-right panache to any room.
Each rug is handcrafted by a group of master artisans in India and, from start-to-finish, takes weeks to complete. All made in a fair trade environment.
We recommend using a rug pad to prevent wrinkles and slippage.

Our rugs are handcrafted to last a lifetime, made using the highest quality natural fibers – no synthetic materials like viscose, rayon, or polyester are used.
Basic care:
Because each rug is handcrafted with only natural materials, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.
Vacuum lightly at least once a week using only low suction and no beater brush, as this may damage the rug. More frequent vacuuming will help prevent shedding.
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Rotate your rug every 3-6 months. This will help prevent excessive wear and fading in one area.
The use of a rug pad will keep your rug lying smooth and flat and will help prevent slippage.
Treating stains:
Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth - act quickly to prevent drying. Avoid harsh chemicals and household cleaners as they may damage or fade the rug. When in doubt, professional cleaning is always best.

United StatesGorgeous Rug - Gray is Slightly Off
This is probably my second adult furniture purchase that's not a hand-me-down or Ikea and I've very happy with this rug! Got the 6x9 and was super impressed by how quickly this rug shipped, and also pleasantly surprised that the wool has not shed as much as I've seen other wool rugs do in the month or so I've had it. Granted, I do not have a family and pets. Rug pad is definitely needed. Took one star off because I will note that the photos make the gray bits look even lighter than they are in person. I was expecting an even lighter blue toned gray, especially based on the 4th product photo. (I know product photography can be tricky!) I ended up with what I can vaguely describe as a mid-toned gray similar to what you'd get out of a pack of markers. It's not bad by any means and it's such a small part of the rug. I just thought that having a small hit of color would be nice in a otherwise very neutral design. Beautiful design by the way!

The Rani rug itself is fantastic - beautiful design and the feel is amazing. Unfortunately, the size we ordered was too big for our space and we realized we needed a rug that was less white as we were worried about getting it dirty. The Citizenry made it incredibly easy to return the rug and has been so kind. We will definitely be coming back for new sheets and a duvet cover in a month!

The rug looks as pictured, the colors are lovely and it's well-made. It's just quite thin - like blanket consistency. Would have expected a bit more weight to it at this price.

The rug arrived and the measurements on each side were off by 6 inches. Also there were random stains all over it.
