The laid-back, effortless look of jute with a sophisticated edge, this handcrafted jute rug is an instant classic. Featuring a minimal grid pattern of contrasting braid heights, it adds just the right amount of visual interest to your space. As beautiful as it is durable, this piece makes a great addition to high-traffic living spaces.
Each rug is handwoven by 14 master artisans in Bhadohi, India. From start-to-finish, it takes five days to complete, all made in a fair trade environment.

Our rugs are handcrafted to last a lifetime, made using the highest quality natural fibers – no synthetic materials like viscose, rayon, or polyester are used.
Basic care:
Because each rug is handcrafted with only natural materials, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.
Vacuum lightly at least once weekly using only low suction and no beater brush, as this may damage the rug. More frequent vacuuming will help prevent shedding.
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Rotate your rug every 3-6 months. This will help prevent excessive wear and fading in one area.
The use of a rug pad will keep your rug lying smooth and flat and will help prevent slippage.
Treating stains:
For jute rugs, do not use liquids for stain treatment – liquids will damage and discolor the natural fibers. Instead, use a dry rug shampoo or baking soda. Sprinkle the dry shampoo on the rug and allow it to sit for a couple of hours. Vacuum up the dry shampoo and flip the rug over to repeat on the other side. When in doubt, professional cleaning is always best.

Exactly as described and beautifully made. As a neutral base, it works in almost any room. I have it in my office where I needed a flat textured rug on which I could use a rolling office chair. It's perfect!

I had one noticeably large fiber stand come loose within the first week so I wouldn’t recommend a house with animals- the dark option is mostly a burnt sienna color and not the lighter gradient as shown in the picture which was kinda deceiving - the rug itself is not too soft not too hard, the cotton is what binds the jute together and does not appear incorporated in the main surface
