Handwoven and hand-dyed by a group of 15 master artisans in Banskho, India, each rug takes five days to complete. All made start-to-finish in a fair trade environment.
We recommend using a rug pad to reduce wrinkles and slippage.

All our rugs are made from the finest natural materials. We choose pure cotton or sheep's wool, dye it carefully, and weave it for strength. Following these suggestions will ensure your rugs can be treasured for a lifetime.
Vacuum rugs lightly and avoid direct and prolonged sunlight exposure.
Small cotton rugs may be washed gently and hung to dry.
If the stain was caused by liquid, act quickly to prevent from drying – use paper towels to absorb.
When in doubt, professional dry cleaning is always going to be your best bet. If you do decide to take matters into your own hands, a few tips for you:
- For wine, coffee, or tea, apply a solution of warm water, detergent and white vinegar with a damp sponge. Wipe with clean cloth and let dry.
- For oil, chocolate, lipstick, nail polish, or ink, scrub or scrape the stained area first. Then apply a solution of hot water and detergent with a clean cloth to absorb as much of the stain as possible. If required, leave the wet cloth overnight before wiping with a clean cloth to dry.

Received Rug covered with Black Mold/ Nonresponsive Customer Service
This experience has been awful so far. I received the Shiva Dhurrie Rug with order #92306 and I opened the box to atrocious smells with the rug covered in black mold. I called customer service to have a new one sent and provided photos. They gave me a difficult time about sending FedEx to pickup the rug and send a new one. Finally, they confirmed FedEx would come back and pick up the damaged, moldy rug. I was told over two weeks ago a new one would be sent out. I have heard nothing. I have emailed three times and left two voicemails over the past two weeks to find out the status, with no response at all. They haven't refunded me either. This has been a horrible experience for a rug with such a hefty price tag. I will have to call American Express to file a dispute due to nonresponse.

Beautiful, Stains Easily
We have this in the kitchen and it is beautiful. Unlike the wool rugs that are super durable, this is a thinner cotton rug so we saw stains basically after 3 days. All good though, because it's thin and cotton and we plan on throwing it in the washer! Haven't done it yet but hoping that'll fix it right up.
