Soft, perfectly broken in. This cotton dhurrie runner will stop you in your tracks. Handwoven and naturally dyed with turmeric to get that gorgeous mustard hue, it adds a global element to any hallway or kitchen.
Handwoven and hand-dyed by a group of 15 master artisans in Banskho, India, each rug takes five days to complete. All made start-to-finish in a fair trade environment.
We recommend using a rug pad to reduce wrinkles and slippage.

Small cotton rugs may be washed gently and hung to dry.
If the stain was caused by liquid, act quickly to prevent from drying – use paper towels to absorb.

Great - IF YOU NEVER WALK ON IT!
Great - if you never walk on it! When we first bought this, we were in love with the way this rug looks and feels, but it stains INSTANTLY. Most runners are a little more durable as they're usually in high traffic areas, but not this one. Looks disheveled and worn after a day with dirt, stains, you name it. Unless you're putting it in a room that is never used and has no foot traffic, I can't see any circumstance this rug would keep clean. It's gotten to the point where we keep it in the closet and only put it out when guests come over. After they leave we throw it in the wash (thankfully it does wash well) and put it back in the closet. Disappointed that we have to do that, but it gets filthy instantly. Such a shame. It also doesn't stick great to the runner mat, which is EXACTLY the same size so it's always peeking out and doesn't lay perfectly flush, so we trip on it constantly. UGH.

Received Rug covered with Black Mold/ Nonresponsive Customer Service
This experience has been awful so far. I received the Shiva Dhurrie Rug with order #92306 and I opened the box to atrocious smells with the rug covered in black mold. I called customer service to have a new one sent and provided photos. They gave me a difficult time about sending FedEx to pickup the rug and send a new one. Finally, they confirmed FedEx would come back and pick up the damaged, moldy rug. I was told over two weeks ago a new one would be sent out. I have heard nothing. I have emailed three times and left two voicemails over the past two weeks to find out the status, with no response at all. They haven't refunded me either. This has been a horrible experience for a rug with such a hefty price tag. I will have to call American Express to file a dispute due to nonresponse.

This is a beautiful rug, with rich color.
The photos on the website are accurate, but cannot really capture how rich the color is. I bought this runner for the entrance to the cottage I recently purchased, which has dark (and dreary, to me at least) laminate floors that someday I'll replace. The rug instantly brightened the space. It also seems very well made.
