Suhana Hand-Knotted Area Rug
Handspun wool. An understated palette. A minimal must-have for any room, this area rug is thick, luxe, and wonderfully cozy. Available in natural ecru and a rustic rose clay, each rug has natural variations that make it truly one of a kind.
Each rug is hand-knotted by 14 master weavers in Bhadohi, India. From start-to-finish, each rug takes 5 full days to complete. All made in a fair trade environment.
We recommend using a RUG PAD to prevent wrinkles and slippage. Because each rug is hand-knotted with only natural materials, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.

NOTE: This rug is a high-pile rug, with a 3/4" pile height. Be sure to measure for door clearance. Returns of rugs not delivered via white-glove will incur a $65 refund fee, due to the size of the item. Returns for store credit are always free, except for rugs delivered via white glove which will have a restocking fee of 15% applied.

Our rugs are handcrafted to last a lifetime, made using the highest quality natural fibers – no synthetic materials like viscose, rayon, or polyester are used.
Basic care:
Because each rug is handcrafted with only natural materials and hand-trimmed to the desired pile height, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.
Vacuum lightly at least once a week using only low suction and no beater brush, as this may damage the rug. More frequent vacuuming will help prevent shedding.
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Rotate your rug every 3-6 months. This will help prevent excessive wear and fading in one area.
The use of a rug pad will keep your rug lying smooth and flat and will help prevent slippage.
Treating stains:
Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth - act quickly to prevent drying. Avoid harsh chemicals and household cleaners as they may damage or fade the rug. When in doubt, professional cleaning is always best.

Feels like heaven on your feet despite the shedding which I totally expected. My disappointment is the fat twists seeming to come loose and beginning to unravel into fat straight pieces. Trying to twist and tuck back down into the rug. Haven’t tried vacuum yet afraid what might happen

Overall, quite pleased with the addition of this piece to my place. However, the Ecru colored wool does not resemble the tones of taupe or copper exampled in the site's product photography.

At first, I really loved the rug.. I expected a bit of shedding as I’ve owned many wool rugs in the past..however, after only a few weeks of having the rug, whole pieces of yarn started to completely unravel and pop out entirely. It’s not looking great…and In the areas not covered by furniture, the rug already looks flat and worn out and old, so I am concerned whether the rug will hold up for long… big disappointment give I was expecting more given the price.
