From creating the recycled yarn to weaving the rug, it takes about 6 weeks to make each piece. All made start-to-finish in a fair trade workshop in Bhadohi, India.
We recommend using a rug pad to reduce wrinkles and slippage.

Thanks to its PET recycled yarn, this rug is durable and stain-resistant, suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Vacuum rugs lightly and spot clean with mild soap and cold water. Do not machine wash. Avoid harsh chemicals (in particular, bleach) when cleaning your rug.

This is a beautiful rug! As many others noted, it is very soft and I can not believe it was made from recycled material. I had very high expectations after reading the previous reviews and they were met! Customer service was also terrific in answering questions and fast shipping.

I love this rug! It’s beautiful in its simplicity and incredibly soft under foot. I have two in the grey. One is a bit whiter and the other more cream though this slight variation is to be expected. I highly recommend this rug for a clean warm look to your room.

I'm absolutely in love with this rug. It's soft under foot, simple, and modern yet down-to-earth. The blush color is lovely and neutral. I also love that it's made of recycled materials and is non-wool! Definitely put a rug pad down underneath it for some anti-slip and a little cushioning. Such a wonderful piece!

The rug is a neutral color so it blends with most everything. It is made from recycled materials but feels comfortable on the feet. It is taking a bit of time to settle, but it does seem to doing so.

My experience is always fantastic with Citizenry! The rug is great, I purchased for an office then didn’t fit in my new home. Realized it’s an indoor/outdoor rug and now it’s on my patio. The color is much more warm than imaged on the site but fits well in my outdoor space. I’m curious how weather proof it is...my patio is covered but we do get bigs storms in North Texas. Any feedback would be great!
