With a keen design eye and passion for vintage decor, Arvin Olano has mastered the art of curating a space with beauty and character. Today, we’re giving you an inside look at his artfully collected Las Vegas home.
Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m a designer and content creator mixing high design and affordable finds. I have a YouTube channel where I share my design journey, home decor, and furniture finds.
Q: Where do you live and what makes it home?
I live in Las Vegas, Nevada with my partner Andrew and my French Bulldogs Marble and Sage. Las Vegas is home because Andrew and I bought our first home here. We love the home we created! We just bought our second home in California so we’re excited to start on a new journey together.
Q: How would you describe your personal design style?
European Mid Century. I’m drawn to vintage pieces that have a story to tell.
Q: What has influenced your home decor style?
Childhood memories, fashion, and travel have influenced my style. I constantly reference outfits that I’ve felt good in and use that color palette or silhouettes to inform the design of a room.
Q: What is your creative process when designing?
I love to find one statement piece for a room– usually something vintage. Then, I design the room around it.
Q: What’s a decor trend that will never go out of style?
Plaster walls. I know it's trending right now but it’s been around for thousands for years! It’s timeless.
Q: Any favorite or meaningful decor pieces in your home?
A vintage Italian Aldo Londi Bird Lamp from the 1950s. It reminds me of happy memories growing up in the Philippines.
