Handcrafted with ethically-sourced cow leather from Alcanena, Portugal, a small town known as “The Land of Leather.” All made start-to-finish in a fair trade environment.
Available in two sizes: full/queen and king/cali king.

I was surprised how light and simple this headboard is. It’s basically a 1 1/2 inch foam cushion inside a leather case. It was easy to install using a laser level. It provides a soft backing against the wall that is comfortable to sit or lean against without sticking out or adding length to the bed. It’s great for small spaces. It’s very well-made and beautiful. I highly recommend it.

This headboard is stunning in person, and the leather is incredibly soft. I was initially hesitant to spend as much as i did, however, upon arrival, i can safely say it's one of my favorite investments. The patina is already developing, and the whole thing feels so premium.

United StatesShipping/Manufacturing Issue
The leather straps used to mount the headboard were shipped folded, causing the leather to crease and the metal grommet holes to rub off on the leather causing black marks. Also, the screws shipped with the straps leave indentions that do not go away. I reached out to customer service and they sent me new straps, but they have the exact same issue. Waiting to hear back from the Citizenry team so I may return the whole headboard. This has been too much trouble
