Imabari Waffle Towels
Lightweight, incredibly soft, and quick to dry, say hello to your new can’t-live-without staples. Loomed with an oversized waffle construction, these waffle towels are more breathable and absorbent than your run-of-the-mill versions. Designed in five fresh hues and finished with a refined, flat-edge border, they’re as handsome as they are functional.
Each towel is made with long-staple Pima cotton and loomed in the oldest, family-run mill in Imabari that has spent 100 years perfecting the art of towel making. From weaving to dyeing and washing, each step is done in a fair trade environment.

These cotton towels can be machine washed on cold with like colors. Tumble dry on low. Do not bleach.
After washing, the waffle weave will deepen and shrink a bit, developing a more organic character over time. We recommend hanging on a rack instead of hooks – the hooks will stretch out the weave over time.

$25 for most other returned orders

White glove delivery items are handled separately and have a 15% re-stocking fee.
For all orders placed from November 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022, you have until January 31, 2023, to process a return or exchange.

I love the color and feel of this product but the size is odd. They are supposedly hand towels. Maybe for a 5 year old but more like a washcloth for me! I returned them, sadly.

United StatesNot worth the money, faded on first wash
The color is beautiful however the towel is a bit tighter if a weave than I would prefer- feels a little like a dish towel and not a hand towel. The most disappointing thing about the towel is the fading in the weave- there are what appear to be bleach spots on the towel after first wash. I never use bleach or whiteners so it couldn’t be that. I’ve had the same issue with other similar brands of waffle weave but had hoped these would be different. The color is gorgeous but they are not special enough to warrant the price. On another note the linen sheets are my favorite of all comparable brands. Love lots of things from citizenry, just not these towels.

Towels aren't much different than the Casaluna brand from Target, weave is a little tighter but for more than double the price there's no real difference. It took over three weeks to ship, which is ridiculous for a product that was stated to be "in-stock" and in the US. Not sure why it takes 3 weeks to make a shipping label for an in-stock item. Plus the shipping cost is high, so to wait so long just to get them to ship when you're paying full price to ship is pretty frustrating.

These are the best towels ever. Even my husband commented on how he like these. They are quick drying, soft on the skin and never get that mildew smell. I had some waffle towels by another brand and they don’t hold a candle to these towels. Very happy
