Mendoza Chunky Wool Area Rug
With the versatility of jute, but the supreme softness that comes from 100% wool, this rug is durable, unexpectedly neutral...and did we mention oh-so-soft? The super chunky wool gives it a plush feel, and the striking design adds a just-right amount of visual interest. Hand-dyed using natural pigments, this rug is a thing of beauty and truly special.
Each rug is handwoven by a fair trade workshop in Santiago del Estero, Argentina. From sourcing the wool locally, to cleaning, spinning, dyeing by hand, and then weaving, they have mastered every part of the process. From start-to-finish, it can take up to eight weeks to complete one rug.
NOTE: Due to the size of this item, returns for a refund require a $65 total fee. Returns for store credit are always free.

We were looking for a new rug because our 10 month old was having some skin issues from our old one. This rug is so soft, we spend all day playing on it. It looks and feels great.

I love this rug - thick, soft, and beautiful colors. Adds an earthy bohemian feel to the room. I bought the mustard color after a long internal debate, as they all look lovely. Potential buyers should know there are a few loose bits so don't expect perfection in the weave (think of this like a jute rug as the description states), and there is a strong (but clean) wool smell with this rug that diminishes quickly in the first few days.

the texture of this rug is so comfortable to walk on barefoot or even sit on. I love how thick the weave is and the softness it brings to the room. exactly what I hoped for as an investment piece for my house. you won’t be disappointed!
