When in doubt, professional dry cleaning is always going to be your best bet. If you do decide to take matters into your own hands, a few tips for you:
- For wine, coffee, or tea, apply a solution of warm water, detergent and white vinegar with a damp sponge. Wipe with clean cloth and let dry.
- For oil, chocolate, lipstick, nail polish, or ink, scrub or scrape the stained area first. Then apply a solution of hot water and detergent with a clean cloth to absorb as much of the stain as possible. If required, leave the wet cloth overnight before wiping with a clean cloth to dry.

I love the citizenry and have generally had great experiences but, this item began to fade immediately. I has almost no color remaining after a short period.

The texture, weave, and color of this rug is absolutely exquisite. True to the photographs online, the shape and feel of it were exactly what I imagined they would be when it arrived based on all of the information provided online. The quality of the rug itself is beautiful and durable. We use ours as a bathmat and it is perfect. I would absolutely order this again and recommend it to anyone who is considering. Remember, you get what you pay for ;)
