This blanket is great. It adds texture to my bed without adding much in the way of warmth (perfect for me as I live in the southeast and don't want warmer covers). The blanket feels well made and goes perfectly with my stonewashed linen set.

First: customer service has been great, shipping was quick. So thank you for that! First thing I noticed was that the mist color was just normal grey - I expected a hint of blue in the color from the pics online but this isn't something the city can control so my bad. Just how it goes sometimes. Second was how scratchy it was. I washed the throw to soften it. Didn't realize it was dryclean only (would not have purchased had I caught that) but I wash all my other linen so I was sure it would be fine. It's definitely a bit mishaped after washing it on cold, but usable. Like all my linen, I ran it in the dryer without heat to gather all the lint. Ran it about 5 times and there's still a ton of fluff in the lint trap. Aaaand it's till scratchy and the fringe is kind matted now. Since I washed it I can't return, otherwise I would. I guess I'll just use it as a very expensive beater bed cover to catch dirt, but I doubt I'll sleep w it. I will say this is def the most affordable linen bedcover I could find and I guess I now I have a stylish non-precious layer to protect my wayyyyy nicer linens lol but that's not what I was going for w this.

We needed this blanket last minute for an install and The Citizenry shipped so quickly and it was the perfect finishing touch for a primary bedroom. The blanket has a muddy tone to the olive that pulled out the browns and muddier greens in the space, and is the perfect lightweight top layer for Charleston bedrooms.

I was hesitant to purchase because I knew from the reviews it was going to be a stiffer linen. I wrote to ask if I could wash it safely, and it turned out I could. If you try this bed blanket, put it in a cold water wash on the gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Tumble dry on a low heat setting. It will shrink some, but since I have a full size bed, it ended up fitting perfectly. It was actually too large before washing, so be very careful if you have a queen or king bed and want it to fit after washing and drying it. It does work and softens it up. I’m not sure how many more times I can realistically wash it however, and so I’ll just hope I don’t have to wash it very often. I don’t want the fringed threads to unravel. All in all, I’m pleased with the bed blanket in the clay color.
