La Casica Handwoven Accent Rug
Some patterns are good enough to be carved in stone. Inspired by the sacred architecture of the Zapotec civilization, this understated accent rug adds an effortless charm to any space. A soft, touchable blend of natural and gray wool, every piece is a timeless work of art.
Handwoven and hand-dyed by a cooperative of sixty women weavers in Oaxaca, each one takes almost three weeks to complete. All made start-to-finish in a fair trade environment.

Our rugs are handcrafted to last a lifetime, made using the highest quality natural fibers – no synthetic materials like viscose, rayon, or polyester are used.
Basic care:
Because each rug is handcrafted with only natural materials, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.
Vacuum lightly at least once a week using only low suction and no beater brush, as this may damage the rug. More frequent vacuuming will help prevent shedding.
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Rotate your rug every 3-6 months. This will help prevent excessive wear and fading in one area.
The use of a rug pad will keep your rug lying smooth and flat and will help prevent slippage.
Treating stains:
Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth - act quickly to prevent drying. Avoid harsh chemicals and household cleaners as they may damage or fade the rug. When in doubt, professional cleaning is always best.
