Each shower curtain is handcrafted by a group of 32 master weavers in Kannur, India. From start-to-finish, each one takes almost a day to complete. All made in a fair trade environment.

United StatesPoor quality, threading coming undone
The curtain itself is beautiful and looks great in the bathroom. However, I was extremely disappointed to see how much pulling and pieces of knotted threading are coming undone and we haven't even washed it! It's been hanging for only 3 weeks. This quality in no way matches the price paid for it and not sure we'll even be able to keep it up.

United StatesLovely curtain, skip the hanging set
I bought the Curtain (in sand) + Hanging Set. The curtain is lovely. 5 stars. Perfect in my bathroom. However, I was disappointed with the hanging set. I really like the stainless steel rings that come with the set, and initially I really liked the liner. It's a nice material. Not the plastic-y liners I've had in the past, it's nice and soft, and there's a little weight in the bottom to hold it down. This seemed great at first, but after just 1-2 mo mold has developed within the seam at the bottom of the liner the houses the weight. I have washed the liner several times and this mold does NOT go away. It's just getting worse. I did not bleach the liner because it states "Do not bleach" right on the tag. I did reach out to the Citizenry with this concern and the response I received told me that "discoloration is common over extended use". I do not think 3 months constitutes "extended use". It's also definitely NOT "discoloration". It's mold. Black mold. The response also recommended trying a little bleach when washing it. Well, since the tag specifically says to not bleach I don't think this is a great idea... So I'm mixed on my review. 5 stars on the curtain, 4 stars on the steel rings (they're a little hard to open and close, but are very pretty), and 1 star on the liner. Skip the hanging set, stick with the curtain and buy a liner elsewhere.
