Handcrafted by master artisans in Jepara, Indonesia, each stool takes about 18 days to complete, all made in a fair trade environment with ethically-harvested mindi wood. Unrivaled in their woodworking expertise, this group artfully constructs these stools with carefully placed joints, only using screws to secure the seat to the base.
As a heads up, these are counter stools, not taller bar-height stools, designed to fit most residential counter heights.
NOTE: Due to the size of this item, returns for a refund require a $65 total fee. Returns for store credit are always free.

Great stools. Perfect height for our kitchen countertop. Beautiful and easy to clean with kids. They go very nicely with our white kitchen. The one potential negative is for taller people. My partner mentioned he cannot open his legs as much as he’d like due to the arms that wrap around. For me, this is not an issue. Happy with the purchase, and quick shipping!

Love the proportions on this chair. Was looking for a stool with a back for counter height bar seating that could still be tucked away under the counter. The shape and curvature worked really for our style. One thing I'd say is that the actual color was a bit "richer" than we anticipated. From the pictures it looked a little more whitewashed almost...but in fact they had more brown and subtle orange tones. This wood is a cedar like wood I believe and that shows.overall though really happy with the chairs

While I absolutely love these counter stools and feel they are beautifully crafted, the legs are slightly uneven on both of the two stools I ordered. They are a little wobbly. That is their only flaw! The are light weight and lovely, and add understated elegance to my kitchen.
