Suhad Hand-Knotted Area Rug
Simplicity is never short on style. Layers of craftsmanship are knotted by hand into this beautiful Afghan rug. A rich blend of geometric shapes, each rug features eye-catching patterns of arrows and triangles. Available in a natural shade of charcoal, this rug is a minimal masterpiece.
Each rug is made with wool that is hand-dyed, then meticulously tied with a Persian knot, with up to 80 knots per square inch. Crafted by master artisans in Afghanistan, each rug takes 4-5 months to complete. All made start-to-finish in a fair trade working environment.

Our rugs are handcrafted to last a lifetime, made using the highest quality natural fibers – no synthetic materials like viscose, rayon, or polyester are used.
Basic care:
Because each rug is handcrafted with only natural materials and hand-trimmed to the desired pile height, it is normal to see loose fibers or shedding in the first six months.
Vacuum lightly at least once a week using only low suction and no beater brush, as this may damage the rug. More frequent vacuuming will help prevent shedding.
Avoid placing rugs in prolonged direct sunlight as this can cause fading.
Rotate your rug every 3-6 months. This will help prevent excessive wear and fading in one area.
The use of a rug pad will keep your rug lying smooth and flat and will help prevent slippage.
Treating stains:
Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth - act quickly to prevent drying. Avoid harsh chemicals and household cleaners as they may damage or fade the rug. When in doubt, professional cleaning is always best.
