While I’m waiting for the Japanese waffle towel set I decided to check out this new Turkish waffle towel set, and it’s certainly a set of towels that dry things. When I get out of the shower, these towels are there. When my hands need drying, they’re behind me. Thank you Turkish waffle towels.

We are long-time Citizenry fans and have bought many towels over the years. We recently bought Mara Towels in Olive. I think they are perfect for people who want soft, fast drying towels that look sophisticated - we live in a humid environment and not every bathroom has a fan so these are great. I love the bath sheet size for wrapping up after a shower and the towel size for drying my hair. I bought sets of 6 of the bath and the towel size. These seem softer, more durable than West Elm’s waffle towels. These are not the super thick / more expensive style that The Citizenry also has from Japan, Imabari waffle towels, that are rarely in stock. If you decide you want something closer to a plush towel that is heavier than the Mara but isn’t as bulky as a traditional plush towel and still super soft, I would recommend the Aegan Towels from Citizenry. I have the black style and love the contrast when they are hanging on a cream wall. We enjoy using our towels every day and will buy more Mara and more Aegan towels in the future. Hopefully this helps you decide which one is right for you!
