Made from baby alpaca, a fiber so luxurious it was once reserved for Incan royalty, this blanket is as soft and cuddle-worthy as they come. Masterfully hand-loomed in a rich blend of rust, tan, and cream, it instantly adds warmth and a cozy feel anywhere it lands.
Handwoven by master weavers in a quiet mountain village in the Peruvian Andes, each throw takes up to a week to complete. All made exclusively in a fair trade environment.

I’m so thrilled to have the Esperanza Alpaca Throw in my family room, just waiting for our hot Texas weather to cool down. The plaid compliments my couches and coordinates with my patterned area rug nicely. It feels so cozy and I know it’s going to be so welcome this winter.

Starting with the feel, this blanket is so soft and luxurious. Its thick enough to keep you warm but not hot, pretty much perfect temperature no matter what. The look is even better in person, the detailing in the stitching is beautiful. Will be ordering many more of the Alapaca throw options to replace all my current blankets.

My second alpaca throw from the citizenry and wont be my last. They are lightweight and drape so nicely over your sofa or over your body. Super soft, lovely colors, and I love the detail in the stitching.

The blanket is beautiful and super soft. And I love that it’s made by local craftsmen around the works. but have to take off one star because it sheds a lot on my clothes.

Bought this one on sale and I am happy with it at that price. It wasn’t quite as thick or soft as I expected but I love the colours (well represented in their photos imo), and it seems well made. If only I had found these items while actually travelling there…Full price seems a bit steep for me, so I would take off half a star on that but otherwise it’s nice.
