Made from baby alpaca, a fiber so luxurious it was once reserved for Incan royalty, this blanket is as soft and cuddle-worthy as they come. Masterfully hand-loomed in a rich blend of rust, tan, and cream, it instantly adds warmth and a cozy feel anywhere it lands.
Handwoven by master weavers in a quiet mountain village in the Peruvian Andes, each throw takes up to a week to complete. All made exclusively in a fair trade environment.

Note: Alpaca wool is hypoallergenic, so this throw is ideal for those with allergies or sensitive skin.

United StatesNot my first, not my last
My second alpaca throw from the citizenry and wont be my last. They are lightweight and drape so nicely over your sofa or over your body. Super soft, lovely colors, and I love the detail in the stitching.
Soft and delicate
I purchased a few months ago on sale. I love the way it feels, soft and silky. High quality materials and craftsmanship. Beautiful colors. I deducted 1 star because it's almost too delicate to use. It's so thin that when I handle it (gently), my fingers practically poke through and stretch the fibers apart. I correct it by gently tugging the weave back in place. It already has a snag that can't be corrected. It's a lovely decorative piece which is the only way I've used it so far. I didnt return it because it's beautiful.

The blanket is beautiful and super soft. And I love that it’s made by local craftsmen around the works. but have to take off one star because it sheds a lot on my clothes.

Bought this one on sale and I am happy with it at that price. It wasn’t quite as thick or soft as I expected but I love the colours (well represented in their photos imo), and it seems well made. If only I had found these items while actually travelling there…Full price seems a bit steep for me, so I would take off half a star on that but otherwise it’s nice.
