What better way to kick off the year than with a little bedroom update? To bring a bit of a refresh to your space, we’ve teamed up with Parachute (our go-to for bedding basics) to create a minimal, yet statement-making lumbar pillow.

When the Parachute crew approached us to design an exclusive pillow for their collection, the partnership was a no brainer. Not only do they get our love for high-quality bedding, but they also share our passion for doing a little good in the world.  

Parachute partners with Nothing But Nets, an organization bringing safe sleep to children in sub-Saharan Africa through malaria-prevention bed nets. To further their mission, we are donating one life-saving bed net for every lumbar pillow purchased on our site.

Inspired by clean, architectural lines and gradient hues, we set out to create a piece that was beautifully simple, yet equally complex. This is a collection of images from our "moodboard" that served as inspiration along the way.

To execute this vision, we teamed up with our weaving partners in Oaxaca to create a series of natural dyes. They use various mixtures of roots, bark, and ash to create this spectrum of greys. To bring out the rich variation, they meticulously hand-loom every pillow - a process that takes up to two days. We couldn't be happier with the end result.
