Our margarita mantra: keep it fresh and simple. No need for any mixologist tricks or fancy syrups here. Leave it up to the potent juice of a blood orange to do all the work for you. With this one fruit, you'll ramp up any run-of-the-mill margarita – its bold flavor and vibrant color are sure to take things to the next level. 


Without further ado, we’d like to present our no-fuss, no-frills blood orange margarita recipe. Guaranteed to have you toasting in five minutes or less.




2 oz. silver/blanco tequila

1 blood orange

1 lime

1 tsp. agave nectar

2 tsp. kosher sea salt 

1 tsp. sugar 

1 drop pure vanilla extract (optional)

Lime wedges



Mix together the salt and sugar on a plate. Run the lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip the rim in the salt and sugar mixture until evenly coated. Add ice to your glass and set aside.



Fill a small cocktail shaker with tequila, freshly squeezed blood orange juice, lime juice and agave nectar. If you’d like to add a little something extra, add a drop of vanilla extract. Then simply shake it up for about 30 seconds. 



Strain the liquid into your glass and garnish with a slice of blood orange for a pop of color.
