Cranberry Mule image

It's December 1st, the official start to the holiday season. If you're like us – when it comes to the holidays, we just can't help ourselves. Crank up the Mariah, throw greenery everywhere – any chance we get to add a festive touch, we'll take it.

Naturally, we use this same approach for cocktails. There's nothing better than taking a classic drink and putting a holiday spin on it. Case in point: the Cranberry Mule.

To whip up this festive take on the Moscow Mule mainstay, we've partnered with foodie and cocktail connoisseur Marcella DiLonardo of Hey Modest Marce. Bubbly, ruby red, with a hint of holiday greenery, we'll be toasting with this cocktail all season long.

So without further ado, here's her recipe:

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

2 oz. quality vodka
2 oz. ginger beer
2 oz. cranberry juice
1 tbsp. simple syrup (optional)
1/2 tbsp. lime juice, freshly squeezed
2 tbsp. frozen cranberries
Ice, for serving
Lime slices, for garnish
Rosemary sprigs, for garnish

MIX IT UP, SHAKE IT UP
Add the vodka, ginger beer, cranberry juice, simple syrup (if you like it sweet), and lime juice to your cocktail shaker. Shake well.

PREP THE GLASS
Add the frozen cranberries and ice to your cocktail glass.

THE FINAL TOUCH
Pour the mixture over ice and garnish with lime slices and a sprig of rosemary for that special holiday touch. Now, sit back, relax, and raise a glass to the most wonderful time of the year.
