Root Beer White Russian image

Whether it be matching onesies on Christmas morning or watching “Christmas Vacation” on repeat, we’re suckers for holiday traditions.

Without a doubt, one of favorite traditions is the classic White Russian Cocktail. Nothing says “Happy Holidays” quite like a glass of this savory, oh-so-creamy concoction.

To bring a fresh take on this holiday mainstay, we’ve teamed up with tastemaker Wit & Delight. She’s sharing how to liven up this cocktail – swapping in rum and adding a splash of root beer, this beloved drink gets a whole new flavor.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

1-1.5 oz. Jamaican Rum

0.5 oz. Coffee Liqueur

Heavy splash of root beer

Heavier splash of heavy whipping cream

1 pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg

PREP YOUR GLASS

To start, fill your cocktail glass with ice.

ADD THE BASE

Pour your rum and coffee liqueur over the ice.

FINISHING TOUCHES

Finish with a splash of root beer and heavy whipping cream (yes, it better be heavy). Sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon or nutmeg on top.

And there you go! With that, let's raise a glass to family, tradition, and the things that truly matter this holiday season.
