Inspiration from Luis Barragán image

Hot pink walls. Floating staircases. Tall glass windows. This is the stuff  that makes our mid-century-loving hearts skip a beat. It’s also the traits that put the work of Mexican architect, Luis Barragán, on the map.

Barragán is known as Mexico’s “Frank Lloyd Wright,” and his influence can be seen throughout the city’s bright colored walls, structural plazas, and modern buildings. To get up close and personal with his work and process, we toured his house in Mexico City.

Lucky for you, we took LOTS of pictures and are sharing a few of our favorites...

All in all, this place is brimming with the Barragán creative genius. If you ever find yourself in that neck of the woods, it’s worth stopping by. Be sure to make an appointment. All tours are private and reservation-only.
