1.5 oz. gin
1 oz. of cranberry juice
0.5 oz. tonic water
½ lime, juiced
½ cup of ice
Fresh cranberries
FIRST THINGS FIRST – THE CRANBERRY & THYME SYRUP
Before you can get started, you’ll need to whip up the cranberry and thyme syrup. You’ll need the following ingredients for it:
1 cup of water
1 cup of sugar
4 sprigs of thyme
8 fresh cranberries
Combine these ingredients in a small saucepan. Let it boil for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until the sugar dissolves. Strain the mixture and let it cool. Any extra syrup you don’t use in the cocktail can be stored in a glass container for up to a week.
MIX IT TOGETHER
Combine the cranberry and thyme syrup, gin, cranberry juice, lime juice, and ice in a cocktail shaker. Then shake it up.
SERVE IT UP
Pour the mixture into a glass and top it with the tonic water. Add some fresh cranberries or a sprig of thyme on top for a festive touch.
CHEERS!
Go eat, drink, and be merry.
